PWDCA Memorial Plaque and Album
This lovely solid oak plaque and the accompanying album provide owners a place to memorialize their deceased Portuguese Water Dogs. Each individual 3" x 5" brass plate on the plaque bears the registered name of a deceased Water Dog, the call name, years of birth and death, and the owner's name. Appropriately, the first plate is inscribed with the names of Renascenca do Al Gharb and her owner, the first lady of Portuguese Water Dogs, Deyanne Miller.
Along with purchasing a brass plate, some owners have chosen to also provide a favorite photo of their pet along with a written remembrance to be included in the album. Some have sent a poem, personal thoughts, or a touching story. All entries illustrate the undying bond of love between an owner and pet.
The price of a brass plate and engraving is $25.00. You may donate more in memory of your dog, and your donation can be deposited in the General Health Fund or dedicated to a specific health project. The Memorial Plaque and Album will be on display at selected PWDCA functions and National Specialties.
If you would like to participate, please contact the Coordinator of the Remembrance Fund Committee.
